Weight management

Whether you are looking to help manage a small amount of weight loss or seeking to deal with a deep-seated weight management issue, hypnotherapy can help. If you have considered surgery such as stomach stapling, gastric bypass or gastric band, but are not eligible for NHS treatment or need to lose weight before being considered, then gastric band hypnotherapy may be what you are looking for. Gastric band hypnotherapy can help those who are clinically obese and have a high body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more. It is recommended for adults over the age of 16.

Gastric band hypnotherapy works by a combination of suggestion, visualisation, and cognitive behavioural therapy techniques that help you to make behavioural changes to enable your sustained weight loss. By using a “virtual gastric band” you are convinced that you have undergone gastric band surgery, thereby enabling you to eat smaller portions and have your hunger satisfied earlier. The “gastric band” part of the process is a mechanism that helps you believe your stomach is smaller, with a considerably smaller capacity for food.

You must be fully committed to making significant lifestyle changes in order for gastric hand hypnotherapy to be successful. It is not a miracle cure, you must be prepared to change not only the way you eat, but the way you think about eating.

Unlike a surgically-fitted gastric band, gastric band hypnotherapy is for life whereas most surgically-fitted gastric bands either fail or are rejected by the body, and within 10 years most will have been removed during another operation (at an additional risk and cost). Gastric band hypnotherapy is 100% safe and risk-free: there is no need for anaesthetic, incisions, stitches, or a stay in hospital. Consequently, there is no possibility of leakage, hernia, DVT, stroke, post-operative bleeding, burst sutures, compromised skin integrity (possibly leading to bed sores, ulcers, and cellulitis), or wound and/or port-site infection. Even better, after gastric band hypnotherapy, you will not experience the belching, projectile vomiting, nausea, faintness, constipation, erosion of tooth enamel (due to regular vomiting), loss of hair and poor skin that are the side effects many owners of a ‘real’ gastric band suffer. Gastric band hypnotherapy is also many, many times cheaper than the real thing, making it more attractive and affordable: a surgically-fitted gastric band can cost between £5,000 and £10,000 (and a further £3,000-£4,000 if the band needs removing).

You may have seen numerous stories on television and in the press of people losing huge quantities of fat with the aid of virtual gastric bands. Why not join them?
